Product Description
The load-bearing oil film, also known as the pressure oil film, plays a role in balancing the load, isolating the shaft neck and sleeve, converting solid friction between metals into molecular friction inside the liquid, and minimizing friction and wear. Therefore, it can meet the requirements of load-bearing pressure, impact resistance, change speed, rolling accuracy, structural dimensions, and service life within the maximum range. Matching the four elements of rolling pressure, rolling speed, bearing clearance, and lubricating oil viscosity to form an uninterrupted and stable load-bearing oil film, achieving liquid dynamic lubrication to meet the friction and lubrication of the rolling mill under different operating conditions. Therefore, lubrication of oil film bearings often manifests in the following three forms:
- When starting or stopping, although there is lubricating oil between the shaft and bearings, due to the motion speed being equal to or approaching zero, fluid dynamic pressure lubrication has not yet formed or gradually disappeared, and the shaft and bearings will inevitably come into direct contact. At this time, it is in a state of edge medium lubrication or even semi dry friction.
- During rolling mill operation, mixed lubrication may occur due to vibration, excessive water ingress, insufficient oil supply, or oil quality issues.
- When the rolling mill operates normally and smoothly, it exhibits fluid lubrication.
Therefore, the lubrication characteristics of oil film bearings are a mixed lubrication that alternates among the three situations mentioned above.
